What do we expect from you?

 

The successful candidate will form part of the Strategy, Portfolio, Planning and Performance Division (SP3) within CEPSA E&P.  Within the Division sits the Planning and Performance Management team which is charged with the business planning and economic analysis amongst other skills sets.

 

The petroleum economists in the team and there to provide service to the E&P team both through the business planning and decision making both centrally and deployed in the execution teams.

The Head of economic delivery coordinates and manage the Economics Delivery team to provide high value, quality and timely economic valuations across the asset lifecycle as required within the organization.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

 

  • Economic valuation execution across the organization (asset valuation in all E&P cycle, corporate valuation) through economic modelling of fiscal terms as per country and legislation in place

 

  • Supporting on commercial overview of E&P activities to head of P1 for strategy and portfolio management activities.

 

  • Organizing and collaborate with other key technical disciplines to assist with the identification of value improvement opportunities and highlight the associated technical merits and risks.

 

  • Providing leadership and insight into the key drivers / risks and constraints underpinning the economic analysis and communicates these effectively to management.

 

  • Participating and present at the relevant internal E&P peer review and assurance forums.

 

  • Supporting the delivery of E&P projects by leading the economics delivery team on economic valuation as required by the organization, included but not limited to asset valuation, corporate valuation and support into the Business Plan.

 

  • Managing Economics delivery team:
  • Appropriate resourcing of economics personnel to E&P projects
  • Training to support ongoing business activities and capability gap closure
  • Support to head of SP2 on Economics staff recruitment
  • Economics Delivery staff development

 

  • Role model leadership support for HSEQ culture

 

  • Supporting business efficiency and operational excellence

 

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical/engineering discipline.
  • Desirable a master’s in petroleum economics.
  • More than 10 years of Economic Analysis experience in the E&P Sector.
  • Proven track record of knowledge of E&P economic analysis modelling including legal and contractual framework and economic model design (PSCs, Concessions, and Risk Service contracts). Knowledge of the E&P key economic indicators, sensitivity analysis and results interpretation.
  • Knowledge of E&P technical disciplines
  • Fluent in English.
