What do we expect from you?  

You will work within the area of Legal & Asurance, you will be responsible for anticipating the developments in national legislative processes, including the implementation of EU legislation, in the field of energy transition and climate change policies (specially in biofuels), as well as other “non-energy” horizontal regulation (e.g., corporate law, sustainable finance, etc.) impacting CEPSA to ensure it is well positioned to implement its long-term strategy, maximising opportunities and minimising threats related to a moving policy and legislative framework.

Functions: 

Regulatory anticipation:

• Gather and Provide Policy Intelligence
• Spotting, assessing and monitoring progress on relevant initiatives in the national level
• Provide regular solid updates of national policies and developments impacting CEPSA’s businesses
• Analyse legislative opportunities and threats, incl. strategic implications
• Recommend positioning and actions:

• Help formulating positions agreed with and by Business Units
• Help developing action plans

Regulatory Ecosystem Ownership:

• Identify, share intelligence and ensure coordination with businesses, and among businesses
• Obtain feedback from businesses and feed them with relevant information
• Foster the adoption of company positioning through clear decision-making processes
• Ensure coordination with businesses and other areas in public consultations of new regulation
• Channel interactions with third parties (associations and fora), incl contractors’ interactions with CEPSA (e.g. law firms and consultants)

What are we looking for? 

• Degree in law. Specialized in public law and energy regulatory law, incl. permitting, a distinctive plus.
• High level of English
