The successful candidate will be integrated in the Trading area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct supervision of all Middle Office analysts for the Crude & Products or Gas & Power Trading.
- Responsible for the reporting of trading results and positions to senior management of Crude & Products or Gas & Power Trading. Coordinates an accurate and independent analysis, valuation, and reporting of risk positions and trading results on a daily basis while ensuring compliance with all trading limits:
- Work in close cooperation with Front Office staff to facilitate the continuing growth of the business by providing accurate information on the potential impact of transactions on mark-to-market, value-at-risk and trading limits in a timely fashion.
- Act as the primary liaison for all trading enquiries; Provide help to the traders to model complex trades in the BOOK for the risk to be managed.
- Work closely with Commercial Risk & Back Office, Finance, Trade finance, Legal and IT to ensure that the best risk control practices and policy/limit are in alignment from a risk control point of view.
- Discuss and propose internal limits for Front Office business and ensure limits are properly approved, followed, complied with, and properly documented.
- Identify new solutions aimed at improving processes, controls and decision making.
- Liaise with Trading IT to ensure the enhancement of the trading software to meet business needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, engineering, quantitative discipline or business-related major. High degree of accuracy and efficiency under set deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel/VBA, high levels of numeracy and computer literacy.
- Written and spoken English (Excellent/very fluent)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mid-office commodity trading organization or on a commodity trading team.
