Título:  Renewable Products Sr. Trader

What do we expect from you? 

Renewable Products traders are responsible for Cepsa’s related trading activities, with the objective of maximizing value creation across the relevant value chain, while ensuring regulatory compliance is delivered. The trader role will be primarily focused on the Waste Lipids and Vegetable Oils value chain (Vegetable Oils, Waste Lipids, Biodiesel, Renewable Diesel/HVO, SAF), but also gaining a good understanding of oxygenates (Ethanol, ETBE, Methanol, MTBE) and eventually Green Ammonia value chain.

Role Responsibilities:

• Accountable for all related trading activities.
• Develop trading strategies to maximize Cepsa’s value, including arbitrage opportunities derived from Regulation & Sustainability.
• Make trading decisions based on the principle of maximizing returns withing agreed risk limit.
• Monitor and adjust portfolio based on defined market and credit risk limits, ensuring compliance with regulatory framework.
• Lead on negotiating supply and marketing agreements, gaining internal approval where needed.
• Execute trades and validate them with Operations and Middle / Back Office teams (Contracts Administration, Settlements, etc.)
• Work with the Operations team to optimize physical delivery.
• Keep up to date on market dynamics, develop fundamental views and support trading recommendations with analytical models by working closely with the Business Intelligence team.
• Provide market and counterparty insight for the KYC process.
• Continuously perform price discovery and provide data to support forward price curves reliable production.
• Build quality relationships with industry participants.

What are we looking for?

• 8 to 10 years track record of commercial excellence in commodity trading and proficient understanding of derivatives and hedging strategies are a must.
• Previous experience in Renewable Products trading / business development including strong understanding of blending economics will be a plus.
• Good negotiation skills along with ability to work under pressure and take decisions quickly.
• Strong analytical skills and good understanding of market supply and demand dynamics, regulations, compliance standards, controls, and risk management.
