We are actively looking for top talent to join the Biofuels Trading Operations team. As a Trading Operator at Moeve, you will be responsible for the execution of the full life of the deal in the biofuels supply chain – ensuring efficient and compliant execution of trades covering FAME, HVO, SAF, POME, UCO, ETHANOL and other advanced feedstocks. Your role will be to manage all physical operations from load port to delivery, preventing profit leakage and actively identifying optimization opportunities.

The Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With

As a Trading Operator (Biofuels), you will:

• Ensure flawless execution of contracts and charter parties, aligned with EU RED II/III, REACH regulations, and Moeve’s HSSE standards.
• Manage biofuel and feedstock cargoes (tankers, trucks, barges, rail, terminals), preventing stock-outs or tank-tops and ensuring scheduling integrity.
• Handle off-spec issues, cargo readiness, biofuels blending coordination, and sustainability documentation (ISCC, mass-balance, CoA, PoS).
• Guarantee timely issuance, transfer and validation of ISCC Proof of Sustainability (PoS), critical for compliance, settlement and traceability.
• Actively defend the P&L by minimizing demurrage, avoiding operational inefficiencies, and optimizing blending and logistics opportunities.
• Maintain daily contact with counterparties, terminals, vessel owners/brokers, surveyors, agents and certification bodies.
• Coordinate internally with Traders, Shipping, Logistics, Sustainability, Contracts, Demurrage, Legal and Finance to align commercial and operational intent.
• Manage nominations, voyage orders, stowage planning, and follow-up of vessel and cargo performance.
• Oversee customs clearance processes, ensuring all import/export requirements are fulfilled on time.
• Keep all relevant data updated in Moeve’s trading systems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide after-office support when critical issues arise—flexibility is key in a fast-moving trading environment.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded professional with strong operational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Trading Operations (biofuels, feedstocks, or related oil/products logistics).
• Strong knowledge of biofuels and renewable feedstock supply chains (FAME, HVO, SAF, POME, UCO, Ethanol, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with blending operations for biofuels.
• Familiarity with sustainability certification schemes (ISCC, REDcert, EU compliance frameworks) and deep understanding of PoS flows.
• Understanding of REACH regulation and its impact on biofuels trade and logistics.
• Solid understanding of customs clearance requirements and ability to coordinate with brokers and agents.
• Evidence of commercial acumen and ability to identify value-adding opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills in English; other European languages are a plus.
